เกร็ดความรู้เกี่ยว determiners ในภาษาอังกฤษจะมีตัวที่วางหน้าคำนามเรียกแบบกว้าง ๆ ว่า determiners แต่ determiners นั้นแบ่งย่อยเป็น 4 ประเภทหลักคือ 1. Articles เช่น a, an, the... (a car, an artist, the house) 2. Demonstratives เช่น this, that, these, those... (this car, that car, these cars, those cars) 3. Possessives เช่น my, your, their, his, her... (my car, your car, their cars, his car, her car) 4. Quantifiers เช่น a little, a lot of..., some, some of..., much, many...เป็นต้น (some friends, a little sugar, a lot of money, much time, many people) ทั้ง 4 ประเภทข้างต้นใช้วางหน้าคำนามหมดเลย แต่ในหนังสือจะเน้นแค่ประเภทที่ 4 คือ quantifiers คำที่บอกปริมาณมาก-น้อยที่วางหน้าคำนาม ในหนังสือมี quantifiers หลัก ๆ ดังนี้ 1. few/a few + นามนับได้ในรูปพหูพจน์ เช่น Few/A few people can speak more than five languages. 2. enough + คำนามนับได้ในรูปพหูพจน์/หรือคำนามที่นับไม่ได้ เช่น 2.1 I have enough money. money = นามนับไม่ได้ 2.2 There are enough desserts for everyone now. desserts = นามนับได
