Knowledge Worth Spreading

The United Nations (UN) in the US officially recognized Vesakha Bucha (simply called Vesak Day) as "International Day" in 1999. Since then, Vesak Day has been celebrated worldwide as the day marks the birth, enlightenment and passing of the Buddha.  Especially in Thailand, it is annually led by the Thai Government along with Mahachula Buddhist University (MCU) to celebrate the Buddha's three events with its 16th Annual United Nations Day of Vesak Conference on Mindfulness: Concepts and Applications at the UN Covention Center in Bangkok. As to the Buddha's key advice, it places importance on 1) avoiding doing whatever is bad, 2) doing whatever is good,  and 3) purifying one's mind mainly through mindfulness meditation practice. It also involves the Eightfold Path, the Four Noble Truths, the Law of Cause and Effect, and the Five Buddhist Precepts. All of these key teachings of the Buddha are closely related.  Below are photos from this year's

You should excercise every day t o  keep yourself fit. คุณควรออกกำลังกาย เพื่อที่จะ ทำ ให้ร่างกายคุณแข็งแรง เพื่อที่จะ = เป็นการสื่อถึงวัตถุประสงค์ (purpose) ดังนั้นวลีที่ อ. เน้นสีเหลืองนั้นคือ วลีที่บอกจุดประสงค์นั่นเอง ภาษาอังกฤษเรียกว่า  To-infinitive of purpose  Infinitive = v.1 (base form) 2. For + n + to + v.1 , s + v + o Ex. For a store to get more customers, it has to be aware of the quality of products. แบบที่ 2 นี้มีความหมายไม่ต่างกันกับแบบที่ 1 ด้านบน เพียงแค่โครงสร้างในการใช้ต่างกัน ดังประโยคด้านบน คือ  For  a store  to  get  more customers, it has to be aware of the quality of products. จริงๆแล้วมันมีหลายแบบในการเขียนสื่อถ
